What was going on in your business and your life when we started working together? I had just started consulting again after being made redundant from H&M in 2024. I’ve always loved the freedom of consulting and I really wanted it to work out, but it had been a slow year.

I was relying heavily on word of mouth and not being able to get new clients. There were unanswered emails, cold pitching, and honestly, I was ready to take action.

I had all this experience behind me; building footwear departments, running my own footwear brand, consulting for different companies…but I still felt stuck in that cycle of trying to secure the next contract.

What concerns did you have about working with Rosie? What were you hesitant about? I just knew I needed something to change. I wanted tools to help me gain more clients because I didn’t really know how to reach people and get them interested in me.

I was willing to put myself out there, willing to feel uncomfortable, and willing to do what it takes. So for me it was more like, “Okay, I need to do this.”

What tangible results did you gain from our work together? The biggest result was securing a long-term consultancy contract with a global sportswear brand. Financially it completely changed things for me.

What other results did you gain from our work together? Being in the programme built my self-confidence much more, so I was not taking any work just because it was a work. Rosie kind of helped me know my own worth.

In the past there were moments where I could have compromised on what I felt my experience and expertise were worth, but now I hold my ground.

That was huge for me because previously I probably would have just accepted it. Today I'm working in a role that feels aligned with both my experience and the type of work I enjoy doing most.

Rosie built me up to be daring to go out there and ask for prices that suited level of thinking and experience I brought to clients.

I also started showing up differently. I went to trade fairs, introduced myself to people, handed out business cards and thought: “This is me and this is what I’m doing.” Even if something didn’t lead anywhere immediately, I still felt more confident putting myself out there.

How has the type of client you attract changed? I’m now working on rebuilding and elevating the footwear collection for a global brand rather than just doing disconnected freelance projects.

My work feels much closer to being a creative partner rather than simply being brought in to execute designs. I'm able to focus on the kind of projects I enjoy most and bring my experience to the table in a more strategic way.

What do you think would have happened if you hadn't hired Rosie? Pricing one-off jobs. Trying to fill gaps. Now I’m building longer-term brand relationships. I’m thinking further ahead. I’m positioning myself differently.

How would you describe Rosie to a friend? What’s it like working with Rosie? Rosie built a great programme that I followed and feel empowered by. We worked on my point of view and messaging and I work with that and ChatGPT to create LinkedIn content that actually supports my positioning and value properly.

Rosie gave me tools, but more importantly, gave me confidence in my own value and experience to charge the right prices.
